This is the pool described by John where Jesus healed the man that couldn’t get into the disturbed water before others. This pool was discovered in the early 19 Century, it is two pools and they are very large, just North of the Temple. Originally the lower pool was used to wash sheep before taking them a short distance to the Temple for sacrifice. During Jesus time they were used for washing for sanctification, the discovery of these pools is exactly the way John described them, “John 1-9” and is further proof of the truth of the Bible, “John 1-5 “mentions healing, for the Angel would disturbe the waters and the first person to get into the pool was healed. As always when a truth comes out and some one doesn’t want to believe it, you start to see revisionist History. Adrian the Roman Ruler in the later 1st Century built a shrine to the Greek healing God “Asclepius” trying to do away with Jesus healing of the lame man, it didn’t work as later in the 4th Century a Church was built on the site to remind people of the healing. Why don’t people believe the truth when it is placed right before them, now that is a mystery, the Bible is total truth and Jewish Culture and Physical discoveries prove it.
John’s desscription of this pool is exactly what the Aarcholopgists found when they excavated the pool out, John’s description is another proof of the authenticity of the Bible.
