The City of David has been found and excavated, it is just outside the present City of Jerusalem. His house has been excavated and many artifacts from this era have been found, he had a olive pit in his house. The water for this City was probably fed by the Golan Springs on the Temple Mount rhrough the pools of Silaom, the era of David was about 1 thousand years before the Birth of Christ, there is a staircase leading from the pool of Siloam up towards the Temple on the Mount, this is not totally excavated but it is a very wide staircase, about 40 feet wide. The purpose of this stairs is, under Mosaic Law all Jewish males were required to attend three feast in Jerusalem, Passover, Pentecost and Tabernacles, so because of the physical appearance, the Jewish males probably used the pool of Silaom for a purification process before ascending to God’s Presence in the Temple. The stairs allowed them to not be contaminated by people that had not gone through the purification process before entering the Temple, it was used to go from the pool directly to the Temple. There is a trench that runs from the springs down to feed the pool and one of the bells from the bottom of a Preist robe has been found there. Remember God instructed the Preist to have a row of pomegranites around the bottom of their robe and a bell between each one. This bell found was only about 1/2 inch in diameter but it made a tinkling sound when shaken, a working gold bell only 1/2 inch wide, now that is craftmanship. Once again the Biblical description of places, circumstances and happenings have been verified and proved to be correct the Bible is not only a guideline for favor from God it is an accurate historical accounting.
David was a warrior and he was a type of the savior to come, a very humble man who’s whole being was spent in worship, praise and communing with God, he was a King with all the benefits but always wanted God’s blessing and presence in his life, always willing to accerpt what ever God sent his way in correction and or help. You say he couldn’t be a type of Christ because Jesus is a loving God and there is no human that has the love and concern for mankind like he does. Upon his return he will have no choice but to purge the world of sin and those that practce sin , for cleansing before his Millennial reign, it is a terrible thing to turn away from the God man that made that kind of a sacrifical love offering, for man’s redemption, but those that have accepted and put his will into practice will be a gigantic seven year feast while much of that is going on. I for one have and will continue to accept that love and see those that have accepted at this Heavenly Feist. If you read this and don’t know him, just turn and receive the eternal life he is offering you, that is his promise, not wealth, health or physical blessings, although most receive those and an abundant life here as well.
